Gurugram new security officer launches whatsapp service for report broken poles, dangling wires

Gurugram: In the Gurugram district of Haryana, now the general public can send information about any kind of problem-related to electricity directly to the corporation headquarters by giving it a WhatsApp number. For the first time, a security officer has been appointed in the corporation to protect the general public from dangers and to take immediate action on the information. An officer of XEN rank has been given the responsibility of security officer.

Any citizen can give a photo, video, Google location, or landmark information of such a place on the security officer’s mobile WhatsApp number, 9050960500. Along with this, information about any incident can also be given. Consumers can also immediately give information about broken poles, electric wires, support wires, earth wires, transformers, meter boxes, or current coming in any other on WhatsApp number, and the corporation will fix it immediately.

DHBVN Managing Director PC Meena said that information about any kind of danger related to electricity lines can be given directly to the headquarters. Meena said that the staff working in the field at the SDO level—junior engineers, foremen, linemen, and assistant line staff—have to conduct an intensive safety campaign. With the participation of the SDO, all area in-charges (ALM, LM, AFM, and JE) will remove the deficiencies and defects of the system as per their area-wise responsibilities. Within the next 15 days, by conducting a complete safety campaign in the area, all the areas will be improved at the very beginning.
