Tennis player Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her own father on Thursday in Gurugram, Haryana. Radhika was taken to a private hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared her dead. The reason for the murder is not yet known.
25 year old Radhika was shot three times by her father. After getting the information about the murder, the police reached the spot. The police has arrested the accused father. The revolver has also been recovered from the spot. The incident took place at 12 noon in Sector 57.
Participated in national and international tournaments
Radhika Yadav was an emerging national level tennis player. She participated in many ITF and WTA tournaments at national and international level. Radhika’s career high ITF ranking has been around 1638.
Radhika also made her mark at the international level
She reached the W15 tournament held in Tunisia in June 2024. Apart from this, Radhika faced Taiwanese player Hasin-Yuan Shih in a match held in Gwalior in February 2017. Radhika is also registered with the All India Tennis Association (AITA). Radhika was counted among the new generation women players of India.

Why was Radhika murdered? This has not been ascertained yet. At present, the police is investigating the matter. A case has been registered against the accused father.
