A case of cheating a woman of Rs 16,75,200 in the name of getting a plot through fake documents in a project going on in a society located in Cyber Crime Police Station East area has come to light.
On the basis of the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the company director and started investigation. Sangeeta Kumar, a resident of Vatika Kunj, Gurugram, told the police in her complaint that Rajan Singh, director of M/s Lotus Dream Projects and Developers Private Limited located in Gwal Pahari, has cheated her in the name of giving a plot. Rajan Singh’s office is in Devendra Vihar, Sector-56. He offered to sell land and plot of 102 square meters area to Sangeeta Kumar in his project located in Bandhwari and promised to get the registry done within 60 days.
Rajan Singh had told Sangeeta Kumar that his company owned the plot. Rajan Singh lured other buyers besides Sangeeta to buy the land. At the same time, Rajan Singh asked Sangeeta Kumar to buy the land and plot by showing fake documents.
Sangeeta Kumar was told that she had all the approvals from the concerned government agencies on this land. In such a situation, Sangeeta made a plot agreement on 22 August 2023 and paid a total of Rs 16,75,200 including several fees for it. Even after 60 days, she was not given possession of the plot. Whenever Rajan Singh was asked to do the registration process, he would ignore them by making some excuse or the other.
After this, when Sangeeta Kumar reached to see her plot, it was found that the houses built on this land were demolished by the authority. When Rajan Singh was talked to in this regard, no satisfactory answer was given. In a complaint to the police, Sangeeta Kumar said that Rajan Singh, director of M/s Lotus Dream Projects and Developers Pvt Ltd, has cheated her due to fake documents.
