Chandigarh: The Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau team arrested Depot Assistant Ravindra, Technical Assistant (Quality Control) Dharmendra working in the Food Supply Depot located in Gohana, District Sonipat, red-handed while taking a bribe of ₹ 145000 late in the evening. In this case, the ACB team arrested the depot manager Nandan Singh this morning. Action has been taken against the accused by registering a case at the Anti-Corruption Bureau Police Station in Rohtak.
Giving information about this, the government spokesperson said that the Anti Corruption Bureau team received information in which the complainant told that he runs a rice mill in village Ghilod in district Rohtak and he has got a tender for milling for the year 2023-24 from Haryana State Warehouse Corporation.
The complainant told that he had already supplied 115 trucks of rice to the Food Supply Depot Gohana. It was told that in this case, accused Ravindra and Dharmendra are demanding a bribe of Rs 150000 by showing fear of sample failure and weightage-related issues etc. Confirming the case, the ACB team made a plan to catch the accused and late in the evening succeeded in arresting accused Ravindra red handed with Rs 50500 and accused Dharmendra with Rs 94500.
In this case, the involvement of depot manager Nandan Singh was also found, who was arrested by the ACB team this morning. This entire action was taken with transparency in front of witnesses. A case has been registered against the accused in Rohtak Anti Corruption Bureau Police Station and he has been arrested. Investigation is going on.
