In a major action, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Vigilance team in Israna Tehsil of Panipat arrested the Tehsildar’s reader Indrajit red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000.
This action was taken on the complaint of Naveen, a resident of Mandi village, in which he had alleged that Tehsildar’s reader Indrajit was demanding a bribe to settle the matter of the partition of land.
According to the information, Naveen had lodged a complaint with the ACB that Indrajit had demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 to move the process forward in the matter of partition. After confirming the complaint, a joint team of ACB and Vigilance laid a trap and caught Indrajit red-handed today while taking the bribe amount.
During the action, the bribe amount was recovered from Indrajit, and he was taken into custody. The ACB team took him into custody about 20 minutes ago and started interrogation.
