In Gurugram, the police have caught eight Bangladeshi citizens during the investigation of illegal immigrants. The Indian documents shown by these people were found to be fake. Now the process of sending them back to their country (deporting) has started.
At present, investigation of about 200 more suspicious people is going on, in which more Bangladeshi citizens are expected to be found. The investigation has also revealed that contact numbers of suspicious people from Pakistan have been found in the mobiles of some people, which are being investigated by the cybercrime team.
This entire campaign is being run on the orders of the Home Ministry, in which the police have been checking the documents for a month. The suspects are being caught and sent to the holding center, and their papers are being verified by the DM and SP of the respective districts.
Those whose documents are found to be correct are released, but the process of deporting those whose documents are found to be fake is started.
Holding centers should be made here
Special holding centers have been made at four places in the city to keep the detained suspects. Police have detained 40 people in Sector-40 Community Center, 47 in Sector-10 Community Center, 100 in Badshahpur Community Center and 30 in Manesar Community Center.
Workers are being investigated
Police is identifying people from slums, construction sites, domestic workers, street vendors and tenants. Information about their permanent residence and native state is being taken, and it is also being investigated since when they have been living in Gurugram and what documents they have.
