Bhiwani: In Haryana’s Bhiwani, 2 children died due to drowning in a pond. They had gone bathing in the pond to get relief from the heat. When people saw them drowning in the pond, they were immediately taken out and brought to Hisar Hospital, where the doctor declared them dead.
This incident took place in village Ratera under Bawani Khera of Bhiwani. There is a possibility of a third girl also drowning in this, but it has not been confirmed yet.
According to the villagers, 2 children of Ratera village, Virat and Lucky (both around 9 years old), had left home on Tuesday. Both of them went together to bathe in the village pond. It is said that digging work was going on in the village pond. Due to this, the pond has become high in some places and pits in other places.
These were filled with water, so it was difficult to guess where the pit was and where the plain was. Both the children had left the house at around 3 pm. When the children did not reach home for a long time, the family started looking for them. However, they were nowhere to be found.
Here, some cattle keepers reached the pond to give water to their animals. They saw that something was floating in the water. When they entered the pond and looked, they saw the head. After this, the villagers took out both the children after a lot of effort and took them to a private hospital in Hisar.
People took Virat to Aadhar Hospital in Hisar and Lucky to Jindal Hospital. Both were declared dead there. From there, the bodies of the children will now be taken to the government hospital, where their postmortem will be done.
It is said that Virat’s father had died a few years ago. They were 2 brothers and a sister, out of which Virat died. At the same time, Lucky was the only son of his parents. He has one sister each. Both the deceased children were studying in class 3.
