Chandigarh: Today there will be a meeting of Haryana Cabinet in Chandigarh. All the members of Haryana Cabinet will attend this meeting. All the employees of the state are eyeing this meeting to be held today.
In this meeting to be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Saini, the government can take two important decisions related to the employees.
In this meeting, the Saini government can make a policy to regularize temporary employees and can increase the retirement age from 58 years to 60 years.
Apart from this, the cabinet can also put its final seal on increasing the pension of freedom fighters. Recently, the Saini government has increased the pension of freedom fighters and their dependents from 25000 to 40000.
Apart from this, the pension of Emergency fighters and Hindi agitators has also been increased from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rupees per month. By approving this announcement in the cabinet today, the government can start giving increased pension from July 1.
These are the demands of Haryana employees
These are the two major demands of Haryana employees, which are pending for a long time. According to the feedback received by BJP after the results of Lok Sabha elections, government employees did not give the expected number of votes to BJP candidates.
There were reports from many places that there were hundreds of employees who worked against BJP candidates. To remove this resentment of the employees and to mobilize them in its favor, the party has decided to accept their two major demands.
These two demands will be discussed in the meeting to be held today afternoon under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister in Haryana Secretariat, Chandigarh.
Government employees were angry in the Lok Sabha elections
In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had to face the anger of Haryana’s government employees. Out of 10 Lok Sabha seats, BJP got more service votes than Congress on only 4 seats. Congress was the first choice of service voters on 6 seats.
In Ambala, Hisar, Karnal, Sonipat, Rohtak and Sirsa Lok Sabha, BJP lagged behind in voting due to service votes i.e. postal ballots. Barring former CM Manohar Lal’s Karnal and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh seat, BJP lost on those seats where its service votes were less.
