Haryana Cold wave: Sirsa records coldest nights in Haryana; Fog in districts along the Yamuna

At the same time, the temperature has dropped further due to cold wave in the areas adjoining Rajasthan.

Sirsa: There was fog in 8 districts of Haryana today. The Meteorological Department had issued a fog alert in Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal and Nuh (Mewat). At the same time, cold wave is blowing in 7 districts today. These include Sirsa, Hisar, Bhiwani, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Karnal.

According to the Meteorological Department, northern and north-western cold winds are blowing towards the plains at a slow speed. Due to this, the chill is increasing in the state. On one hand, there is thick fog in the cities of Haryana adjoining the Yamuna river.

At the same time, the temperature has dropped further due to cold wave in the areas adjoining Rajasthan. In such a situation, there will be no relief from cold waves and fog in the coming days.

Sirsa district was the coldest in the state on Friday. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 4.2 degrees Celsius. However, the overall temperature of the state has increased by 1.8 degrees Celsius as compared to yesterday. It is around the normal temperature of the state.

On Thursday, Hisar’s Balsamand was the coldest. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 0.8 degrees Celsius. Whereas the minimum temperature in Hisar was 2.8, Narnaul 2.8, Sirsa 3.2, Mahendragarh 4, Jind 4.2 degrees, Rohtak 4.9, and Bhiwani and Karnal recorded 5.3 degrees Celsius.

After this, the temperature increased on Friday. Now the temperature of Ambala was 8.8, Hisar 5.6, Karnal 6.8, Bhiwani 6.9, Gurugram 8.3, Kurukshetra 8, Mahendragarh 5.8 and Rohtak recorded 9.3 degrees Celsius.
