Chandigarh: There is a shortage of medical devices and equipment in testing labs in Haryana hospitals. This was revealed during the ongoing budget session in the assembly. In fact, during the question hour in the House, many MLAs raised questions about the shortage in hospitals in their respective constituencies.
Health Minister Arti Rao answered these questions. After this, the Health Minister has hurriedly called a meeting of the High-Level Purchase Committee during the ongoing budget session of the Assembly. In this meeting to be held today i.e. on March 21, the rates of medicines, medical consumables, testing labs and medical devices will be finalized.

During the Question Hour in the Assembly, several MLAs raised concerns about the lack of medical equipment, machines and lab testing facilities in government hospitals in their constituencies. In response, the Health Minister assured the House that these concerns would be addressed on a priority basis. Taking prompt action, he directed officials to hold a meeting of the purchase committee immediately.

Health Minister Arti Rao stressed that the issues raised by the legislators in the House will be resolved on a priority basis. Following her direction, officials immediately began preparing for the high-level committee meeting to ensure that the procurement process moves forward without any delay.
