House collapsed in Haryana’s Nuh after heavy rain: 13-year-old girl died, 6 seriously injured

Last night, a house collapsed in Nuh. A 13-year-old girl died after being buried under the debris while 6 people were seriously injured.

Nuh, June 30: It is raining in 3 districts of Haryana. These include Panipat, Ambala, Yamunanagar. Panchkula and Jhajjar also received rain late at night. Right now Hisar, Gurugram, Faridabad and Jhajjar are cloudy. There are chances of rain.

The Chandigarh Center of the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in the entire state today. During this period, there will be heavy rain in 8 districts Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Jind, Panipat and Sonipat. There will be drizzle in the remaining districts as well.

Last night, a house collapsed in Nuh. A 13-year-old girl died after being buried under the debris while 6 people were seriously injured. Among them, 5 and 3-year-old children have been referred to Rohtak PGI due to their critical condition.

In this regard, Javed Khan, a resident of Nuh, told that on the night of 29th June at around 9 pm, his cousin Abdul Bhai’s house collapsed. Due to which his wife Aamina, his two sons Tarif (24), Rihan (11), daughter Anisa (13), daughter-in-law Janista and two grandsons Mohammad Abrar (5) and Mohammad Sahir (3) were buried. People present there pulled all of them out of the rubble. All the injured were taken to Nalhar Medical College. After examination there, his daughter Anisa was declared dead by the doctors. The condition of his wife and two grandsons is critical, they were referred to PGI Rohtak.

This is the fourth death in the state due to rain so far. Before this, a woman died due to roof collapse in Kurukshetra, a 9-year-old girl died due to drowning in a rain drain in Panchkula and a woman died due to electric shock in Faridabad.

Haryana received 30% more rain in June itself

According to the monthly update of the Meteorological Department, June is the first month of the monsoon season i.e. from June to September. In June 2025, the state received 71.7 mm of rain which is 30% more than normal. The normal rainfall in Haryana for the month of June is 55.3 mm.

3 important things related to rain in Haryana

♦Due to continuous rain, the water level in Yamuna, Som, Pathrala and Nakti rivers has increased in Yamunanagar. Due to which water has entered the villages of Sadhaura and Chhachhrauli. The water level of Hathinikund Barrage built on Yamuna river is continuously increasing. Right now it has crossed 28 thousand cusecs. Irrigation Department’s XEN Vijay Garg said that when the water level crosses 1 lakh, all 18 gates will have to be opened. The employees are on alert mode. The water level is being checked every hour.

♦Yesterday (29 June) the monsoon covered the entire state. After this, heavy rains occurred in 16 districts on Sunday. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon arrived 5 days earlier in the state. Due to this, there has been 24% more rain compared to last year. In the month of June alone, there should have been 50 mm of rain till 29 June, but 62 mm of rain has occurred.

♦Due to rain, the maximum temperature of the state was 3 degrees lower on Sunday. The overall temperature has dropped 6 degrees below normal. Due to which people suffering from humid heat have got relief. Due to this, people came out in large numbers to roam in parks and markets on Sunday evening.
