Haryana: Canter carrying Kanwariyas overturned after tyre burst, over 20 injured

All the victims of the accident are residents of the villages of Bighad and Kirdan of Fatehabad district

Due to the month of Shravan, devotees from all over the country are going to Haridwar for the Kanwar Yatra. There was chaos on the National Highway, Hisar-Chandigarh Road, when a canter full of Kanwariyas going to Haridwar to collect water overturned near Badowal village.

The accident happened due to the bursting of the tire of the canter, due to which the vehicle went out of control and overturned on the road. About two dozen Kanwariyas were injured in this accident. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital Narwana, where some were discharged after first aid, while a seriously injured Kanwariya Himanshu, son of Rohtas, has been referred to Agroha for better treatment.

All the victims of the accident are residents of the villages of Bighad and Kirdan of Fatehabad district. This group of 22 devotees had left to collect water from Haridwar. On the way, the tire of the Isar canter burst near Badowal near Narwana, due to which the vehicle lost balance and overturned.

Injured Kanwariyas in the accident 

Those injured in the accident include Sandeep (38), Sumit (30) son of Rajkumar, Saurabh (25) son of Suresh, Vicky (22) son of Anil, Sunny (26) son of Bansi Lal, Nanak (28) son of Ram Kumar, Himanshu (19) son of Rohtas, Kamal (22) son of Chhinderpal, Johnny (21) son of Bhola Ram, Lalit (25) son of Prem Singh, Sonu (19) son of Krishna, Ankit (20) son of Vicky, Krishna (22) son of Rakesh (all residents of Bigad, district Fatehabad) and Prince (20) son of Jantar Singh, resident of Kirdan, district Fatehabad.

Police engaged in investigation
After receiving information, Sadar police reached the spot and started investigating the case. Police say that in the preliminary investigation, tyre burst seems to be the reason for the accident.
