According to Camp police station in-charge Dinesh Kumar, Vinod Kumar, a resident of Nangwas in Jhajjar, has said in his complaint that he is a conductor in the Faridabad depot of Haryana Roadways. He was taking his bus from Gurugram to Palwal via Ballabhgarh. Two passengers boarded the bus from Ballabhgarh, whose tickets were issued but whose ten rupees were still due. When the conductor gave him a 10-rupee coin, he refused to take it.
He repeatedly explained to the passenger that this is the currency of the Government of India, but he did not listen to him and refused to accept the 10 rupee coin. Not only this, but the accused started abusing him. When he protested, he said, Come to Palwal; I will teach you a lesson. The accused youth told someone on the phone that when they came to the bus stand, there was a fight with the bus conductor.
He said that when the bus reached the Palwal bus stand, 10–12 boys were standing there. As soon as the bus stopped, they started beating him and looted the cash bag from his hand, but left the bag lying on the spot. After this, the accused beat him a lot, tore his uniform, and fled from the spot, leaving him in an injured state.
On the complaint of the conductor, the camp police station has registered a case against unknown youths under various sections, including assault during government duty. The police are trying to identify the accused youths with the help of CCTV installed nearby.
