Panipat: In Haryana’s Panipat on Sunday-Monday night, a husband killed his elderly wife by hitting her on the head with a stick. When the husband attacked, the wife was lying on the bed. After the murder, the husband called the police and said that he had killed his wife. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the person into custody.
The woman’s body has been sent to the civil hospital for a postmortem. Tehsil Camp police have registered a case of murder against 5 people based on the complaint of the woman’s parents.
During police interrogation, the person told me that his wife had been mentally ill for the last 22 years. He had gotten medicines for her from many places. He was tired of getting treatment. He was fed up with her because she was not getting better. The wife was also troubled by her illness. So he killed her.
Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Singhana village in Safidon, told the police in his complaint that his brother-in-law Laxman, alias Lichhu (68), lives in Dinanath Colony in Panipat. His children Monu alias Manoj, Johnny alias Pradeep, Khushboo wife of Pradeep, and Pravesh wife of Monu beat his sister Geeta to death.
Dinesh told me that all of them used to beat Geeta repeatedly. These people were explained several times in the Panchayat, but they did not listen. His children often used to say that we are fed up with this woman and we will end the matter by killing her. We will give 5-7 lakh rupees to the police, and the decision will be taken later.
