Kurukshetra: A police trainee committed suicide on Saturday morning in Kurukshetra, Haryana. He hanged himself in his house at around 6 am. He was alone in the house at that time. The family members had also gone to Trilokpur temple. After getting the information, they immediately returned home. The police took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem.
According to the police, 25-year-old Harish of Padlu village in Shahabad was recently selected in the Haryana Police. His training was currently underway.
According to information, Harish’s family members left for Trilokpur Mata Darshan at around 3 am in the morning. Harish left them at Shahabad. After this, he returned home and hanged himself. When Harish’s uncle and maternal uncle came to meet him, they found his body hanging from the noose. They immediately brought him down and rushed him to CHC Shahabad. Here, doctors declared him dead.
He was undergoing training at Haryana Police Academy Madhuban (Karnal). Yesterday, i.e. on 4th February, Harish came home on a day’s leave. He had to report back to the academy on Saturday morning. That is why Harish did not go to the temple with his family.
According to the family members, they were standing in line to have darshan of the goddess at around 7:30 in the morning. During this time, they got the information that Harish’s health deteriorated and they were called to the hospital immediately. They immediately left from there. After reaching the hospital, they got the information about Harish’s death.
Investigating officer of Shahabad police station SI Naresh Kumar said that the police has taken the body in its custody. The reason for Harish’s suicide is not known. The police is investigating the matter. Information about his suicide has been sent to Madhuban Training Academy.
