Jind: Haryana soldier Pradeep Nain has been martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Pradeep was a resident of Jajanwala village in Jind district. He was martyred during an encounter in Modergam, Kulgam.
Pradeep joined the army in 2015. After this, seeing his ability, he was made a para commando. He is the only son of the family. His wife is also pregnant.
The army informed father Balwan Singh about the martyrdom of his son late on Saturday evening.
Pradeep Nain’s body will reach his ancestral village by Sunday evening today. Thousands of people from nearby villages will reach to bid final farewell to martyr Pradeep.
So far 5 terrorists have been killed in this encounter, while apart from Pradeep, one more soldier has been martyred. It is feared that the terrorists were plotting to target the Amarnath Yatra.
Pradeep was the only son of the family
Martyr Pradeep Nain’s uncle, former block committee chairman representative Sushil Nain said that Pradeep Nain was the only son of his family, who joined the army in the year 2015. On the basis of his ability in the army, he was selected in the Para Military Commando.
Wife was pregnant, he was about to come on leave
Uncle Sushil Nain told that martyr Pradeep’s wife is pregnant. Pradeep used to say that he would come home on leave before the birth of his first child, but destiny had something else in store.
Pradeep will now come home wrapped in the tricolor. Pradeep’s martyrdom has brought a mountain of sorrow on the family.
Encounter continued till late night
The first encounter started at around 12 noon in the Mudrigam area of Kulgam. At that time the security forces were conducting a search operation in the area on the information of terrorists. Para commando Pradeep Nain was martyred in this encounter. The condition of the other injured soldier remains critical. The encounter continued till late night.
CM Saini expressed grief
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has expressed grief over the martyrdom of Para Commando Pradeep Nain who was martyred while fighting the terrorists. Naib Singh Saini shared Pradeep Nain’s photo on social media and consoled the family and described his sacrifice as incomparable. He said that the entire state and the government are with the bereaved family.
