Sirsa: In Haryana, the way has been cleared for 750 families displaced from Thehad to get 100-100-yard plots in Sirsa. For this, the government has released a budget of Rs 10 crore, 64 lakh, and 88 thousand. The government has also deposited the budget amount in the SBI account of DC Office Sirsa. In a few days, the displaced families will get 100-100-yard plots.
The district administration has acquired 33 acres of land in Salarpur for the said families. This land has been purchased from Om Prakash Mehta.
The government has given only Rs 30 lakh so far, while Halopa Supreme and Sirsa MLA Gopal Kanda have given more than one crore from their funds. The government has purchased this land at the rate of Rs 30 lakh per acre.
Let us tell you that the displaced families are living a life full of lack of facilities in the flats of the Housing Board located in HUDA Sector 19.
There is a severe problem with the water and electricity here. MLA Gopal Kanda raised the issue of giving plots to the displaced families from the road to the assembly. There is a wave of happiness among the Thehad displaced families after the government released the budget amount for the plot, and all are thanking MLA Gopal Kanda.
It is worth noting that MLA Gopal Kanda also strongly raised the issue of displaced Thehad residents in the assembly. During this, Gopal Kanda told the CM that permanent housing should be arranged for the 750 families displaced from Thehad, and the government should also guarantee that other families settled on Thehad will not be evicted.
MLA Gopal Kanda, while raising his voice in favour of the 750 displaced families of Sirsa, said that these families have been displaced here on the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court; they are not even being given facilities like electricity, water, and sewer connections there.
