Panchkula : Haryana will remain in the grip of scorching heat for the next five days. There will be heatwave conditions in most of the districts. Maximum and minimum temperatures will increase.
The temperature is likely to reach 45 degrees in the coming days. On May 18 and 19, heatwave conditions will be more severe in districts like Karnal, Sonipat, Panipat, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Rohtak etc.
On Wednesday, the temperature in Karnal also crossed 40 degrees Although the minimum temperature remained 1.6 degrees Celsius below normal. A few days ago, there was rain and hailstorm along with thunderstorm in Karnal urban area, due to which the minimum temperature here remained below normal.
According to the meteorologist of the Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, the maximum temperature recorded in the district meteorological branch of the institute on Wednesday was 40.4 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees above normal and the minimum temperature was 21.0 degrees Celsius, which is 1.6 degrees below normal.
Weather experts said that heatwave conditions may prevail in almost all the districts for the next five days. Dust storm may also occur. At present, there is no possibility of any western disturbance, but due to extreme heat, there is a possibility of western disturbance after a day or two.
The weather in most areas of Haryana is likely to remain generally dry and hot till May 20. Day temperature may increase. Light clouds are also possible due to intermittent hot winds and increase in temperature, but due to formation of low pressure area over Rajasthan, there is a possibility of slight change in the weather of West Haryana.
