The weather in Haryana is constantly changing. The heat has started showing its effect in the beginning of April itself. The maximum temperature has crossed 35 degrees. The highest temperature of 35.4 degrees has been recorded in Sirsa. Apart from this, the temperature in most of the districts remains between 32 to 34 degrees.
According to meteorologists, the temperature has increased in the last 3 days due to western winds becoming active in the state. Earlier, the temperature had suddenly come down due to northern winds. The temperature may remain around 40 degrees in April. At the same time, the state may have to face heat wave in May and June. At the same time, agricultural scientists have advised the farmers planting early wheat to do the final irrigation and have asked them not to irrigate in the midst of strong winds.
According to Dr. Madan, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, the weather is likely to remain generally dry in the state of Haryana till April 4. During this time, there is a possibility of change in winds in between.
There is a possibility of increase in day temperature especially due to the possibility of northwesterly and western winds. But due to the partial effect of a weak western disturbance, there is also a possibility of increase in humidity in the atmosphere and partial clouds and light to moderate winds on 3 and 4 April.
Haryana has received 41 percent less rainfall than normal in the month of March. March is the first month of pre-monsoon, and it was almost dry. Now farmers are expecting rain in April and May, but during this time only wheat harvesting and threshing work remains.
The weather in the state is currently dry and there may be some change in it on April 3. According to the Meteorological Department, a total of 8.9 mm of rain fell in Haryana during March 2025.
