Rewari: A head constable in Haryana’s Rewari city became a victim of fraud of more than 15 lakh rupees. The policeman had bought a plot from a person. When he went to get the agreement of the plot registered, he came to know that the seller of the plot did not have the land in his name. On the orders of the SP, the Sadar police station has registered a case against the accused person. At the same time, the victim policeman has also raised questions about the investigation done by DSP Pawan Kumar.
According to the information received, Head Constable Gyarsi Lal posted in the police line said that in the year 2015, he had bought a 133-yard plot in the boundary of Naya Gaon Daulatpur in front of Sun City located on the bypass of the city from Vinod, a resident of village Bagdawa. At that time, the accused had made a full payment agreement after collecting Rs 15 lakh 29 thousand 500. After the registration was not done for many years, last year policeman Gyarsi Lal asked Vinod to get the agreement registered.
The Patwari found out that the land was not in his name.
Then the accused, Vinod, took another 2 lakh rupees from him on loan. Gyarsi Lal alleges that when Vinod repeatedly refused, he went to the tehsil to investigate the said plot, and then the Patwari told him that this plot was not in the name of Vinod Kumar and the agreement made for the land was fake.
After this, Gyarsi Lal asked for his money from Vinod, but the accused did not return the money. Gyarsi Lal complained about this to SP Rewari.
The SP handed over the investigation of the case to DSP Pawan Kumar. Gyarsi Lal alleges that the DSP conducted a one-sided investigation for 3 months. He met the DSP three times, but every time he was only given assurances. The DSP did not call my witness even once, nor did he investigate by making Vinod and me sit face-to-face. Gyarsi Lal complained about this to the SP again. The SP immediately ordered the Sadar police station to register a case. The Sadar police have registered a case of fraud against the accused Vinod.
