Lightning struck a house in Julana of the Jind district. Due to this, all the glass of all the windows of the house broke. Cracks appeared in many places. LED, fridge, washing machine, inverter and fans were burnt. A private school was running below the house. The school records were also burned. Now the house is in a dilapidated condition.
Along with this, lightning struck a house in Barwala city of the Hisar district. Due to this, a pit was formed in the lintel. Cracks appeared in the walls. Electrical equipment and wiring were burned.
A car was submerged inside the underpass in Faridabad. During this, the driver of the car came out safely. After this, both gates of the underpass have been closed. At the same time, traffic has been diverted. A private school bus got stuck in a pit in Fatehabad. In Sector 56 of Gurugram, a tree broke and fell on vehicles due to the storm. Power was cut off at many places. Wheat got wet in the markets.
The weather department has issued an alert of rain and storm in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Panipat. Earlier, hail fell along with rain in Karnal, Panipat, and Kaithal late at night.
