Hisar: Farmers of Haryana have started a hunger strike in support of the farmers of Punjab. Today, on Tuesday (17 December), farmers have started a hunger strike outside Hisar Mini Secretariat. More than 100 farmers have sat on a 24-hour hunger strike.
This hunger strike of farmers is being done under the banner of Pagdi Sambhal Jatta Kisan Sangharsh Samiti. Sandeep Siwach, General Secretary of Pagdi Sambhal Jatta Kisan Sangharsh Samiti said that this hunger strike has been started in Hisar today.
The farmers will stay here all night today and this hunger strike will continue till 10 am tomorrow (Wednesday). After this, there will be a meeting of the Kisan Committee with the government in Chandigarh tomorrow. After this meeting, as soon as the orders come, the farmers will prepare the strategy for the upcoming movement.
District head Satish Beniwal has said that if the government continues to adopt a dictatorial attitude by not accepting the demands of the agitating farmers, then once again a big movement will arise in the country.
Farmer leader Sandeep Siwach said that farmers have been protesting peacefully on the border for 10 months. But the government is blocking the way of the farmers to Delhi, which is not right. Jagjit Singh Dallewal is on hunger strike. But instead of talking, the government is adopting various tactics.
Tear gas shells are being fired on the farmers at the border. Sandeep Siwach told that recently when Shubhkaran was martyred on the border, 12 tolls in Haryana were made free. The farmers of Haryana demand that he should talk to the farmers sitting on the border.
