Panchkula: The hunger strike of vocational teachers in Panchkula, Haryana, is taking a serious turn. The condition of 3 vocational teachers has become very critical. They have been admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state. The situation became more serious when a female vocational teacher, who was already suffering from respiratory disease, refused to go to the hospital and demanded treatment at the protest site itself.
It is worth noting that due to this hunger strike, 5 vocational teachers were already admitted to the hospital. Now a total of nine teachers have been admitted to the hospital, whose condition remains worrisome. Despite the continuous requests of the union, these teachers are refusing to break the hunger strike. Yesterday, the union members met the teachers admitted to the hospital and appealed to them to end the fast, but all of them remained firm on their stand and decided to continue the fast until the demands were met by the government and the department.
Amidst this crisis, two other employee organizations reached the protest site, took stock of the situation, and expressed their support. Support is being continuously received from employee organizations across Haryana, and a large number of employee organizations are expected to gather in Panchkula tomorrow.
