A heart-wrenching incident took place at 4 am in Rampura Dhillon village of Chopta area of Sirsa. Fed up with the family feud, the husband cut the neck of his wife sleeping on the cot with a sickle. After this, he himself called the police and informed them about the murder.
The accused himself stood in the street and waited for the police to arrive. Nathusari Chopta police station arrested the accused, and when they searched inside the house, the woman’s torso was cut. The police arrested the accused and locked him in a room inside the house. At the same time, the family members of the deceased were informed about the incident by phone.
The police will interrogate the family members so that the real reason behind the murder can be known.
The accused works as a laborer
Rohtash, a resident of Rampura Dhillon village, works as a laborer. He was married to 35-year-old Maya Devi 20 years ago. Rohtash has two sons. According to the information, Rohtash was sleeping at home with his family on Friday night. There was an argument between the husband and wife on some issue at night. After this, at four in the morning, Rohtash separated Maya Devi’s head from the body with a sickle and later informed the police. On receiving the information, Nathusari Chopta police station in-charge Rajkumar, Jamal outpost in-charge ASI Rajesh Kumar, and a team of female constable Sunita reached the spot and started investigation.
Rohtash lived in a separate house from his parents
According to the information, Rohtash has been living in a separate house from his parents for the last 15 years. According to sources, he doubted his wife’s character. Both of them used to fight many times regarding this matter. It is being said that Rohtash killed his wife due to this family dispute.
