Rewari: The husband’s and wife’s bodies were found inside a house in Rewari, Haryana. Both their necks were cut with a sharp weapon. Both bodies were lying on a cot.
The police reached there after getting information about the incident. After investigating the crime scene, both bodies were sent to the hospital for a postmortem. The deceased include Sikandar (35) and his wife, Manju (30).
However, the police are investigating whether both were murdered or committed suicide. The police officers who reached the spot suspect that Sikandar first killed his wife.
After that, he may have slit his own throat. However, formally, the police is still talking about investigating the matter.
According to the initial investigation by the police, the family members said that everything was fine in the house until Saturday afternoon. Sikandar’s father was resting on the veranda of the house. Sikandar and his wife, Manju, were in the room of the house.
At around 3.15 pm, Sikandar’s 15-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son reached home. When they went to the room, they saw their parents lying on the bed, soaked in blood.
The children started making noise. After which, their grandfather, Mamuddin, came running there. The bodies of Sikandar and Manju were lying on the bed.
A shaving blade was also lying next to it. It is speculated that the throats of both were cut with this blade.
Sikandar was addicted to drinking alcohol.
The family told the police that Sikandar, a resident of Balwadi village in Rewari, and his wife Manju often quarreled daily. According to the police, there was a fight between the two on Saturday as well. Sikandar was addicted to drinking alcohol. Sikandar’s father, Mamuddin, is retired from the post of Subedar in the Army.
The family members immediately informed the Khol police station about this. After the information, Khol police station SHO reached the spot with the police force. Also, the SFL team was called to the spot. After an investigation, the bodies of both were kept in the mortuary located in the civil hospital. The police say that the matter is being investigated.
