In Ambala,Sarpanch brutally beaten with sticks

The Sarpanch said that the accused have been in a rivalry with him since the time of the Sarpanch elections.

Ambala: In Ambala district of Haryana, some villagers attacked the Sarpanch due to election rivalry. The Sarpanch had gone to see the cleaning of drains in the village. The case is in the village of Mastpur under the Naggal police station. On the complaint of the Sarpanch, the police have registered a case against two accused and started an investigation.

Sarpanch Baljinder Singh of village Mastpur told that on the evening of June 19, he had gone to see the cleaning of drains being done by the Panchayat.

Gurjant Singh and Omprakash were already here, carrying sticks in their hands. As they both saw him, they attacked him. He fell down on the ground, and the attackers kept hitting him. When other people from the village started coming, the attackers fled from the spot.

The Sarpanch said that the accused have been in a rivalry with him since the time of the Sarpanch elections. The accused attacked him earlier, too.

Based on the complaint by the Sarpanch, the police of Naggal police station have registered a case against the accused under sections 323, 325, 506, and 34 and started an investigation.
