Massive fire in crop residue at night in Bawanikheda

Flames spread to 50 acres due to storm, Farmers controlled it with great difficulty.

Haryana: In Bawani Khera town of Bhiwani district of Haryana, a fierce fire broke out in the crop residues of the farmers amidst the storm. The farmers controlled the fire after a lot of hard work. Farmers and villagers was worried as the fire was not extinguished, that the fire might reach the residential area. It was fortunate that the fire broke out in the fields away from the village.

According to the information, last night a fire suddenly broke out in the fields of the farmers located on Khedi Road in Bawani Khera. Farmers Dharmendra, Ankit, Ajit, Amit, Mayer, Krishna, Omkumar told that they have built their residence in the fields.

Due to the storm, the crop residues standing on 40 to 50 acres in their fields caught fire. The fire was so terrible that it kept spreading continuously.

Farmers said that if they were not sleeping in the houses built in the field, all their crop residues would have been burnt to ashes. All the farmers there themselves controlled the fire by pouring water into the field with the help of tubes and arranging tankers. Although there was no loss of life and property, but the farmers suffered a lot. Farmers were seen working hard to prevent the fire from spreading.
