Traffic Police in Charkhi Dadri: Crackdown on overload vehicles

Challan of Rs. 1.5 lakhs issued for Hiva-Tractor; Action taken after suspension of MVO. 

Charkhi Dadri: In Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri, the RTA team cracked down on overloaded vehicles in the Badhra area on Monday night. The team caught two overloaded vehicles and issued challans worth Rs. 1.5 lakh. Apart from this, two vehicles have been parked at the Badhra bus stand.

A challan of Rs. 1 lakh and 1 thousand was issued for overloading a Hiva dumper filled with gravel, and Rs. 49 thousand was issued for overloading a tractor filled with bricks. On receiving the information about the RTA team’s raid, panic was seen among other vehicle drivers.

In fact, on July 19, a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee was held in the Charkhi Dadri Mini Secretariat. In which the matter of overloading and illegal mining was raised loudly. Minister Moolchand Sharma, who arrived to preside over the meeting, took the overloading matter seriously, reprimanded the concerned officer, and ordered the suspension of the motor vehicle officer.

Apart from this, instructions were given to form a committee under the chairmanship of DC and SP to stop overloading. After this, continuous action has been seen on overloaded vehicles in the district.

On July 20, late at night, based on secret information, the Narnaul RTA team took action on Jhojhu Kalan Adampur road and caught 10 overloaded vehicles, and challans worth Rs 7 lakh, 90 thousand, 500 were issued. This continuous action has created panic among overloaded vehicle drivers.
