Haryana: In Haryana’s Bhiwani, police raided 8 hotels near the new bus stand and arrested 22 women and 17 men. The arrested women are said to be involved in prostitution. All the women were taken to the police station and investigation is going on in the matter.
Bhiwani’s DSP Headquarters Ramesh Kumar has told that on Saturday night, police raided the hotels and guest houses of the city. The police team included 50 policemen including 20 women. When the hotels were raided, there was a stampede in the nearby hotels.
It is being told that prostitution is done in these hotels for five hundred rupees. New girls were brought here every week. 2 women were running this prostitution business.
DSP Headquarters said that when they got information about illegal business, they sent 8 police personnel in civil uniform as customers to the hotels. When they understood the atmosphere there and signaled the police team sitting outside looking for an opportunity.
Immediate action was taken on their signal. When the police teams searched the rooms inside the hotels, about 22 women were found there, who were brought here for prostitution. Among these, 2 women were operators, who used to make these women do prostitution here. Apart from these, the police have also found 17 men from here.
It is being told that apart from 2 local women, other women are from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bengal. Police have also caught many hotel operators. At present, the police is engaged in investigating the matter.
SP Varun Singla said that action is being taken by the police right now.
Only after interrogation, the involvement of all will be clear.
