Hisar: In Haryana’s Hisar, miscreants shot and killed a newly married couple in the morning. At the time of the incident, the newlywed couple was sitting in Lala Hukam Chand Jain Park. This incident took place in Hansi, Hisar, on Monday morning at around 9 o’clock. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took both bodies into their custody, and sent them for a post-mortem. The police have informed the family members of the boy and the girl. However, it is not yet clear who carried out this incident.
Since the boy and the girl had a love marriage only two months ago, the police are also trying to look at this case from the angle of honour killing.
According to the police, the boy and the girl, who live in Hansi, were sitting in Lala Hukam Chand Jain Park on Monday morning at around 9 o’clock. Meanwhile, two people came on a bike and started firing indiscriminately, targeting the boy and the girl. The miscreants fired a total of 7 shots at them. Out of these, three or four bullets hit them.
As soon as they were shot, both of them fell into the park, started writhing in pain, and died within a short time. The miscreants fled from the spot after seeing the opportunity. There was a large crowd in the park at the time of this incident. In such a situation, there was chaos on the spot as soon as the firing started. The police were informed about the incident in a hurry. After this, the police reached the spot, identified both bodies and informed their families. According to the police, the young man has been identified as Tejveer, a resident of the village Barala in Hisar district.
The girl has been identified as Meena, a resident of Sultanpur village in Hansi. According to the police, Tejveer works for a Noida company and came to the village only two days ago. He had a love marriage with Meena two months ago. DSP Dheeraj Kumar, who reached the spot after getting the information after inspecting the spot, said that the reasons for the incident would be known only after the arrival of the families of both. According to police officials, blockades have been done across the district to catch the miscreants.
The police suspect that there could be an angle of honor killing behind this incident. However, nothing concrete can be said in this regard until the family members are being questioned. According to the police, to investigate the reasons behind the incident, the background of the boy and the girl is being checked, and their marriage status is also being checked. For this, police teams are being sent to the villages of both of them for questioning.
