Rescue of two brothers lock in house in Panipat, one locks in toilet for 45 days; the other, mentally ill, went hungry and thirsty

Jan Seva Dal rescued both the brothers and brought them to their home in an ambulance.

Panipat: In Matlauda town, Panipat district of Haryana, the younger brother was so shocked by the death of his elder brother that he started waiting for his death. He did not come out of the house for three months.

About 45 days ago, he locked himself in the toilet. If someone gave him food, he would eat it; otherwise, he would spend time on an empty stomach.

He always talked about dying. The other brother is mentally ill. He does not know the world. He, too, has been lying hungry and thirsty on the same bed for years. He has not even bathed. Residents informed the Janseva Dal organization about this. Chaman Gulati reached the spot with his team. After reaching there, both the brothers were rescued. Both were brought directly to the organization’s ‘Apna Aashiyana’ by ambulance.

They were bathed and fed.

Harichand Khurana, a resident who gave the information, said that these were four brothers. None of them were married. Their father, Lakhmichand, used to run the house by selling chole-bhature and ice cream. He died 12 years ago. The second brother, Ashok, got trapped in the trap of a loan agent and got money invested by many villagers. Due to this, Ashok became a debtor. He absconded five years ago. No one could trace him.

Before the Corona period, their mother Phula Devi died; even then, Ashok did not come. The third brother, Rajkumar, started working in handloom in Himachal. He used to arrange food for the brothers. He came to the village three months ago. He died a few days later. Younger brother Vijay performed the last rites. After this, Vijay locked himself in the toilet. The eldest brother, Surendra, is mentally ill.
