Traffic police of Narnaund collect Rs 98,000 as fine

Among the challans issued on Sunday, the most challans were issued for horns on bikes and vehicles.

Narnaund: In Narnaund of Hisar district, a special campaign is being run by the traffic police to crack down on mischievous elements, including pressure horns installed in vehicles, red-blue lights, and drivers driving on the wrong side. He said that this campaign will continue in the future as well.

Narnaund Traffic Police Incharge Ramniwas said that on Sunday, a special campaign is being run to catch the drivers violating traffic rules by putting up a blockade at the Khanda turn of the city and challaning them.

Among the challans issued on Sunday, the most challans were issued for horns on bikes and vehicles. Along with this, challans were issued for red and blue lights and driving on the wrong side. On Sunday, a bike was impounded, and a challan of Rs 32,500 was issued.

The traffic police in charge said that during this campaign, challans were issued for a total of 18 vehicles, and a fine of about 98 thousand rupees was also collected from the owners. Charge traffic Ramniwas said that, as per the orders of the Supreme Court, the driving licenses of drivers who repeatedly violate the rules will be suspended for three months.

During this time, the license will remain deposited with the authority. The license will be given back to the driver only after three months if the rules are not violated. If the driver still breaks the traffic rules, his driving license will be cancelled by the authority.

Narnaund traffic police also conducted a special checking campaign by blocking the city. The police stopped all the vehicle drivers by blocking the road and checking their horns. They also checked whether almost all the vehicle drivers had firecrackers installed on their bikes or not. They warned the bike drivers that the police would pay their challan only when the drivers installed the company’s silencer on their bikes.
