Woman tortures for dowry in Palwal

Her husband misbehaved, and their brother-in-law raped her; she was thrown out of the house and Police have registered FIR against them.

Palwal: In Palwal, Haryana, a case of harassing a married woman and throwing her out of the house for dowry demands has come to light just after two and a half years of marriage. The woman has also accused her husband of unnatural sex and her brother-in-law of forceful rape. On the complaint of the victim, the Women’s police station have registered a case under various sections against the husband, brother-in-law, and four others and started an investigation.

According to Jagwati Devi, the investigating officer of Women Station, a married woman, in her complaint that she was married about two and a half years ago in a village in Aligarh district (UP), after marriage, her in-laws started harassing her for dowry demands. The victim has alleged that when her dowry demand is not met, her husband has unnatural sex with her and beats her up when she protests.

The married woman alleges that she was alone at home, taking advantage of which her brother-in-law caught her and raped her forcibly.

When the victim protested, she was beaten up. When she complained about this to her in-laws, they threatened her and said that if she told anyone about it, they would kill her. It is alleged that when her dowry demand was not met, her in-laws beat her up and threw her out of the house.
