Panipat: In Panipat city, Haryana, the negligence of a hospital has come to light. Oscar Hospital, located on GT Road here, operated on the left knee of a patient instead of the right leg. When this was revealed, the doctors accepted the mistake and hurriedly operated on the other knee too. After which, the victim became helpless to walk. The doctors had also said that they would bear his entire expenses. But, after discharging him, they did not even meet him. The victim has complained about this to the district administration. The administration has started an investigation.
When he regained consciousness, he was shocked.
The victim Ranbir told me that he is a resident of village Vaisar, Tehsil Matalouda, district Panipat. He is a mason by profession. He fell while cleaning his house. Due to this, his right leg was seriously injured. He also had difficulty walking. He consulted Dr. Sumit and Raghuveer.
Who advised him to get his knee operated on? Meanwhile, one of his acquaintances, Manoj, a resident of the village of Shera who is an ambulance driver, met him. He told him that he had a lot of information about Oscar Hospital. He brought him to the said hospital on May 13, 2024.
There, Dr. Harsh and Vivek Pandey examined me and asked for an operation on the right leg. He was admitted there on May 13th. His operation was done on the night of May 14. When he regained consciousness, he saw that his right leg was the same, while the knee of the left leg was operated on.
The doctor said he would pay the entire expense while sitting at home.
Seeing this, his family members were also surprised. They called the doctor and told him that the operation was wrong. The doctor himself was surprised, and he admitted his mistake on the spot. He also said that he would operate on the right leg as well. The family asked who would bear the expenses now. which the doctors said that they should not worry about the expenses.
Whatever the expenses are, they will pay. Also, they said that if he does not recover, he will be given all the expenses at his home. Immediately after this, 1 hour later, his right leg was also operated on. After this, he was discharged from the hospital on May 5.
Now he is neither able to walk nor do any work. Ranbir said that his whole family was wiped out in an accident on January 23, 2006. After he becomes an orphan, there is no one to take care of him. After this, neither did he receive any message from Oscar Hospital, nor was any medicine given to him, nor was he examined.
