Four accused arrests for robbery of jeweller in Rohtak

Police have sent the accused to jail after interrogation.

Rohtak: In Rohtak, Police have arrested four accused in the case of robbery of 2 lakh, 75 thousand rupees, and a scooty from a jeweller’s servant in Vijay Nagar. Police interrogation revealed that the crime was committed by the jeweller’s servant along with his accomplices.

When the servant saw the money, he made a plan and staged a fake robbery. Everyone committed this crime for fun and looted the money.

Police have sent the accused to jail after interrogation.

DSP Ravi Khundiya, while revealing the robbery, said that police have arrested Kapil, Nitin, and Sahil, residents of Sheetal Nagar, Rohtak, and Prince, residents of Ekta Colony. He said that based on the complaint of Tarun Jeweller, a resident of Railway Road, a case was registered and an investigation was started. Initial investigations revealed that Tarun had opened a jewellery shop.

Kapil, a resident of Sheetal Nagar, works as a servant at Tarun’s shop. On July 8, Tarun’s father drew a check for Rs 2,75,000 and sent Kapil to the bank on a scooter to withdraw the money. When Kapil’s father called him at around 3:40 pm, Kapil told him that three youths riding a motorcycle hit his scooter in Vijay Nagar and beat him up.

The youths snatched the scooty from Kapil. Two youths fled from the spot on a motorcycle and one on a scooter. There were Rs 275,000 and the scooter’s papers in the scooter’s trunk. They also took them away.

DSP Ravi Khundiya said that when the servant’s statements were investigated, he was suspicious because he was repeatedly changing his statements. The police arrested the accused servant, Kapil, and his three companions. During interrogation, it was revealed that when Kapil went to withdraw money from the bank, he became greedy after seeing the money. He called his friends and planned the robbery. The four of them committed the robbery for fun. However, no previous criminal record for any of the four has been found.
