Sirsa: In Sirsa district, the Anti-Narcotics Cell in Ellenabad has arrested two smugglers with 41 grams of heroin on Janata Bhawan Road. A case has been registered against the drug smugglers in the city police station under the NDPS Act. Police say that the drug smugglers will be produced in court, and police remand will be obtained.
According to the information, the team of the Anti-Narcotics Cell Ellenabad was patrolling in the Sirsa city area on Wednesday night.
During this time, the police detained two youths walking on Janata Bhawan Road on suspicion. On searching, 82 grams of heroin were found among the youths.
On interrogation, the youths were identified as Baljeet Singh, a resident of Bagowal district, Amritsar, and Balraj Singh, a resident of Fatupilla district, Amritsar, Punjab. After this, the police arrested both of them.
Police said that both of them told them during interrogation that they had bought this heroin from Billa residents in Chhakala district, Gurdaspur. Investigating officer ASI Sumit Kumar said that the accused will be thoroughly interrogated during the remand period. So that other associates of the accused involved in the smuggling business can be identified. The main supplier, Billa, will also be arrested soon. A police team has left for Punjab to arrest Billa.
