“Youth Dies in Rice Mill Accident, Traffic on Karnal’s Ansadh Highway, Outpost In-Charge Accused”

The DSP tried to convince the villagers and the relatives of the deceased and assured a fair investigation.

Karnal: In the case of the death of a youth due to falling while working in a rice mill in Jundla, Karnal, Haryana, on Monday, the family members, angry with the working of the police, blocked the Karnal Ansadh State Highway today.

The family members allege that when they reached the Jundla outpost in charge demanding justice, instead of listening to them, he started showing off. Angered by this, the family members of the deceased and the residents of the area blocked the state highway. After receiving information about the highway jam, the DSP reached the spot, pacified the villagers by explaining, and got the road restored.

23-year-old Sagar, a resident of Katlahedi, died on July 1 due to falling from a height while working in a rice mill. The family members accused the rice mill management of negligence and demanded strict action against them. When no action was taken on their complaint, the angry villagers came out on the road and blocked the state highway.

Sagar’s family members say that the police did not take their complaint seriously. They alleged that the police not only ignored their complaint but also misbehaved. The family members said that our family member had died, but instead of taking action, the police were threatening and intimidating us.

As soon as the information about the traffic was received, DSP Naib Singh and other police officers reached the spot. The DSP tried to convince the villagers and the relatives of the deceased and assured a fair investigation. The DSP said that on July 1, a youth named Sagar died after falling in a rice mill. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered and an investigation has been started.

Due to the highway traffic, the movement of vehicles coming and going came to a complete halt, due to which the passengers had to face a lot of trouble. Many vehicles had to resort to alternative routes.
