Haryana: In the ravines of Nahar located in Kosli town of Rewari district in Haryana, the team of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has blocked and arrested two drug smugglers travelling in a car. Both of them had come to Kosli from Mahendragarh district to supply opium. But even before reaching Kosli, the police got wind of it and arrested both of them.
Police spokesperson said that the accused arrested by Rewari CIA-1 have been identified as Sonu, resident of Nidana village in Rohtak district and Devendra, resident of Nagura in Jind district. A case has been registered against both of them under NDPS Act in Kosli police station. The team of EASI Sukhpal posted in CIA had received information that both the accused supply drugs and are about to come to Kosli via Kanina in Mahendragarh.
After the information, the police set up a blockade near Nahar ravine.
Meanwhile, a white colored car was seen coming from Kanina side.
Seeing the police team, the driver tried to drive away by turning the car back, but the police team was already alert and caught both the accused along with the car some distance ahead. When the car was searched, four polythenes were found under the mat under the seat. About 1KG of opium was filled in it.
Police recovered the opium and arrested both the accused. During interrogation of both of them, it was revealed that they had come to this area to sell opium. Police have registered a case against both of them under NDPS Act in Kosli police station.
