Israna police station of Panipat district of Haryana has taken major action based on secret information. Police have arrested a youth from a dhaba near the village of Shahpur on Gohana-Rohtak highway. 200 grams of Charas (hashish) has been recovered from the accused’s pocket. The arrested accused is being interrogated by Israna police station.
Police received information that a person was sitting at a nearby dhaba with narcotics. As soon as the information was received, head constable Surendra Singh informed the higher officials. The team reached the hotel and caught the suspect. During interrogation, he told his name as Sandeep son of Hokmi of Kharak Ramji district Jind.
The accused initially refused to be searched and demanded the presence of a higher officer. The search was conducted in front of two witnesses in the presence of ETO Ajay Kumar. A plastic bag containing black substance was found in the accused’s pocket, which was confirmed to be charas after investigation.
Its weight was found to be 200 grams. The hashish was sealed in the presence of witnesses. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and started further action.
