Hisar : In Haryana’s Hisar Central Jail-2, a notorious convict known as “Jalebi Baba,” whose real name was Billu Ram aka Amarpuri, has passed away. He was in jail for 14-year sentence under charges of rape and the IT Act. On Tuesday, his health deteriorated, and he was taken to the civil hospital by police personnel. After a medical check-up, doctors declared him dead.
Accused of forcefully engaging in physical relations and blackmailing more than 120 women

Jalebi Baba, during interrogation, admitted to administering drugs to unsuspecting women in tea and then engaging in heinous acts with them. He confessed to recording videos of these acts on his mobile phone and later blackmailing the victims for money. Due to fear of stigma, the women were unable to disclose anything about these incidents.
On October 13, 2017, a complaint was filed against him by a woman in Tohana, leading to a case being registered. Subsequently, on July 19, 2018, another case was filed based on a complaint by the then SHO Pradeep Kumar. After registering the case, the police apprehended Baba, and various incriminating items such as drugs, VCRs, and ashes were recovered from the crime scene. Additionally, videos of Baba engaging in physical relations with approximately 120 different women were found on his mobile phone.
Unwell from last few days
According to the police, Baba had been unwell from several days in jail. He was taken to Agroha Medical College, where his condition improved. However, his health deteriorated again upon returning to the central jail, and he was taken back to Agroha Medical College, where he was declared dead. A post-mortem was conducted in the presence of a magistrate by the Azad Nagar police station on Wednesday.
