Terror of miscreants in Jhajjar: 5.5 crore extortion money demanded from doctor and lawyer, 5 arrested

A sensational case has come to light in Jhajjar district, in which a doctor resident of Chhapar village was asked to pay Rs 50 lakh and a lawyer Rs 5 crore as extortion money. The police took prompt action in this case and arrested five accused. The arrested accused have been identified as Akshay, Vishal, Rakesh, Sahil, and Mohit, who have been taken on a one-day police remand.

According to the information, on June 27, both victims were asked to pay extortion money through phone calls and were threatened with death. The caller introduced himself as “Bhau”. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police immediately started investigation and detained the five accused.

At present, it is not clear whether these accused have any connection with any criminal gang or not. The police is investigating the matter thoroughly, but are still avoiding sharing more information.

During interrogation, efforts are being made to find out the reasons for demanding extortion from the accused and their network. Police said that further action will be taken after the completion of the investigation and based on the information received during remand. This incident has created panic among the local people, and strict action is being demanded from the administration.
