Haryana: Safidon Crime Investigation Agency arrests 2 accused with poppy pod and poppy husk

Jind: In Jind district, the Haryana Safidon Crime Investigation Agency has arrested two individuals with approximately nine quintals of poppy pod and poppy husk.

The arrested individuals, Sundarpal alias Sindar and Rinku Singh, hail from Sangrur district, Punjab. They were temporarily residing in Babar Mohalla in Rohtak and took rooms near Nirjan village. 

Officials discovered poppy pods and husks stored at their secondary residence.

They were temporarily residing in Babar Mohalla, Rohtak, and had secured another rental near Nirjan village. Authorities discovered poppy pods and husks stored at their secondary residence for smuggling activities.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rohtas Dhull initiated a search at Suresh’s residence village based on actionable intelligence. DM Devendra Kumar oversaw the operation and the discovery of eight plastic sacks inside the premises. During the search, it was found that there were eight plastic sacks inside the premises. These contained a total of 7 sacks filled with poppy pods and 1 sack containing poppy husk. 

Furthermore, an additional 60 sacks of poppy husks were uncovered in another room during the search.
