Woman absconds with Rs 2 crore in Jind

Loans taken from different banks in the name of 39 people came to know when installments were demanded. 

Jind: In the Jind district of Haryana, a woman absconded after taking a loan of about Rs 2 crore from different banks in the name of 39 men and women.

When the women of the colony came to know about this, they reached her house, but the woman sold the house and went somewhere with her family. The victim women are residents of Vishwakarma Colony of the city.

In the complaint given to the city police station, women said that a woman named Shabana lived in their colony for the last 25 years. Shabana and her husband used to get loans from finance banks like Bandhan Bank, Ujjivan Bank, RBA Bank, Saiza Bank, Unit Bank, Hitpatas Bank, and Ashirvad Bank.

The agents of these banks were in collusion with the accused. To get loans Shabana started joining many women in the colony. She got loans for some women and got them repaid on time. This increased the trust of the women of the colony in her.

The woman fell into Shabana’s trap and gave her Aadhaar cards, family IDs, and some other documents. The accused woman absconded after taking a loan of Rs 2 crore in the name of many women of the colony. When the bank asked for loan installments from these women, this information was found.

Apart from Mamta, there are many women whose money, jewellery, and documents Shabana has absconded with.  Apart from these, many other women are now coming forward. The victims allege that Shabana’s brothers Rafiq, Muqaram, and Nadeem are also involved in this. However, the police have registered a case and started an investigation.
