Sapna, a student who was seriously injured in a horrific road accident near Unhani village in Kanina area on April 11 last year, lost the battle of life after nine months. Sapna died on Thursday late evening. The villagers bid their beloved daughter a tearful farewell. Sapna was the daughter of Satish Kumar, a resident of Kharkada Bas village.
Nine months ago, the driver of the bus of GL School of Kanina was driving the bus under the influence of alcohol. Six children died and many were injured in a horrific bus accident near Unhani. Sapna, who was seriously injured in the same accident, was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Gurugram. Sapna had multiple fractures in the spine and also had other types of serious injuries. She was bedridden since the accident.
Sapna had given the second-semester examination of BA first year. Sapna was the topper student of GL College. At that time the government and administration had assured every possible help. But Sapna was not given any financial help, whereas the families of the six deceased students were given Rs 5 lakh each by the government. Sapna’s last rites were performed at the cremation ground of the village itself and the villagers bid a tearful farewell to the promising daughter of the village.
