Bus full of wedding guests attacked by unknown miscreants in Karnal, 7 injured

Seven people were injured in this incident who have been admitted to the hospital. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

A heart-wrenching incident has come to light on Sunday night on Meerut Road in Karnal, where a bus full of wedding guests was attacked by unknown miscreants. The attackers not only broke the glass of the bus, but also beat up and looted the wedding guests. Seven people were injured in this incident who have been admitted to the hospital. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

According to the information, a wedding procession had gone to Meerut from Bhola Majra in Karnal. After the wedding rituals were completed, the procession was returning to Karnal on Sunday night. When the bus stopped near the sugar mill on Meerut Road, some of the wedding guests wanted to get off the bus to drink water and freshen up. During this, they got into an argument with some youths standing outside a nearby liquor shop. When the matter calmed down, the wedding guests boarded the bus and the bus moved forward.

However, after this, the bike-riding youths started following the bus and stopped the bus near the sugar mill and attacked it with sticks and rods. The attackers broke the glass panes of the bus and beat up the baraatis in the bus. The baraatis allege that the attackers also looted them, in the gold chain was snatched from the groom’s brother.

It was fortunate that the bride and groom’s car was behind the bus, due to which they remained safe from this attack. After the incident, the entire baraat reached the police station of Karnal, where the bride and groom had to wait for action outside the police station instead of going home.

Groom Pawan said that the gold chain was snatched from his brother. The attackers attacked with axes and weapons. We hope that the police will take strict action against the culprits. The groom’s mother also said that seven baraatis were injured and the whole family is in shock due to this incident.

Bus driver Deepak said that I was returning with the baraat from Meerut. On the way, bike riders stopped the bus and started abusing and beating. Investigating officer Sultan said that the police reached the spot as soon as they received the information and the injured were sent to the hospital. The police have registered an FIR based on the complaint of the baraatis and have started searching for the attackers based on the CCTV footage.

The police officer said that the baraatis argued with the youths standing near the liquor shop, after which the incident took place. We are investigating the case thoroughly and the culprits will be arrested soon.
