Kurukshetra: 1 died in bike collision, accused absconded

Kurukshetra: Two bikes collided near Khedi Brahmana village in Kurukshetra district of Haryana. A person riding a bike was seriously injured in the accident. With the help of passersby, he was taken to the government hospital. Here the doctors declared him dead. While the accused fled with his bike. The police have registered a case.

Kurukshetra: Two bikes collided near Khedi Brahmana village in Kurukshetra district of Haryana. A person riding a bike was seriously injured in the accident. With the help of passersby, he was taken to the government hospital. Here the doctors declared him dead. While the accused fled with his bike. The police have registered a case on the basis of the bike number.

According to Mukesh Chauhan, a resident of Amin village, 45-year-old Kamaljeet, a resident of his village, was a teacher in a private school in the village. He and Kamaljeet had gone to Alampur on their bikes on February 8 for some personal work. After finishing the work, they were returning to their village Amin. Kamaljeet was riding ahead of him on his bike.

At around 8:30 pm, when they reached between Alampur and Khedi Brahmana villages, a bike coming from Alampur hit Kamaljit’s bike from behind while crossing it. Due to the collision, Kamaljit fell on the road along with the bike. Kamaljit’s head hit the road and he got badly injured. He stopped the bike and  took him to the government hospital through an ambulance.

The accused fled from the spot

Doctors in the government hospital declared Kamaljeet dead after checking him. On the other hand, after the accident, the accused fled from the spot with his bike. Police registered a case on the basis of the bike number and handed over the body to the family after postmortem.
