Panipat: Lakhs of cash were stolen from a house in Model Town in Haryana’s Panipat city. The thieves targeted the house, which was closed for just 15 hours.
The thieves broke the lock of the main gate and entered. Here they stole gold jewelry along with 30 lakh cash from the cupboard. The house owner has complained about this to the police. The police have registered a case of theft based on the complaint.
In the complaint given to the Model Town police station, Yatin Juneja said that he is a resident of Shanti Nagar. He lives in Phase 2 here. He had gone out somewhere at around 4:30 pm on the evening of August 13. He had locked the house properly before leaving. He reached home the next morning at around 7:30 am.
During that time, he saw that the lock of the main gate of the house was broken. When he entered the house, the things were scattered there too. He went to his room. He saw that the items on the cupboard were also scattered on the bed. When he checked his belongings, he found out that 30 lakh cash was stolen from the house. Apart from this, gold jewellery was also missing. Among the jewellery, a gold chain, a gold bracelet, and 4 gold rings were stolen.
