Ambala: The last daughter of the family who survived the massacre that took place on Sunday night in Ambala, Haryana, has also died during treatment in the hospital. With this, the entire family of Harish, brother of former soldier Bhushan, has been wiped out. Bhushan carried out this crime.
Bhushan had gone to his brother’s house at night. There he killed his younger brother Harish (42), his wife Sonia (40), his daughter Yashika (6), and his son Mayank (4 months) with an axe and a sickle. Bhushan’s mother, Surati Devi (62), lived with them. Bhushan killed her too.
Bhushan also made his father, Omprakash, who came to his rescue, bleed, due to which he fell. Thinking him dead, Bhushan moved ahead. Bhushan also killed his brother’s third daughter, Pari (7), but she was still alive at the time. After this, Bhushan gathered everyone, sprinkled flammable substances, and set them on fire.
After setting everyone on fire, Bhushan fled from there. He conspired and executed this crime with his wife, two sons, two brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law. The father was bleeding, so he ran and hid in the sugarcane field. This saved his life.
At the same time, 7-year-old Pari was also breathing, and Bhushan was burned alive along with other bodies. This heinous crime was committed in a dispute over 2 acres of land. This incident happened at around 10 p.m. in Rator village, Narayangarh.
According to SP Surendra Kumar, the accused first killed his mother, Surati Devi, by attacking her neck. Then he attacked Father Omprakash’s neck. Omprakash, bleeding, ran away and hid in the sugarcane field. After this, Bhushan killed everyone else.
The accused’s father, Omprakash, said that he has about 2 acres of land. It was divided between the two sons. The elder son, Bhushan, pressured him to get all the land transferred to his name. The greedy son killed the entire family. He did not even spare his mother.
The accused fled after the incident. On receiving the information, SP Surendra Bhauria reached the spot at 3 a.m. The police released the animals tied to the house of the deceased and the accused so that they did not remain hungry and thirsty. The accused has four ferocious dogs tied to his house; no one could muster the courage to go near them.
According to the police, a murder case has been registered against Bhushan, his wife, two sons, two brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law. In the morning, when the villagers were returning after leaving the bodies in the tractor-trolley at Narayangarh hospital, Bhushan and Poonam tried to stop them on the way. The villagers informed the police. The police chased the accused, but they hid in the fields. By evening, the police had arrested Bhushan, his wife Poonam, his brother-in-law Tony, and Johnny.
