Lawyer commits suicide, jumps from fourth floor of Faridabad court

Police are investigating the matter.

A lawyer committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor in the court premises located in Sector-12, Faridabad. The lawyer had spoken to the family on the phone before committing suicide. Fellow lawyers took the injured to the hospital, where he died during treatment. Police are investigating the matter.

According to the information, the deceased has been identified as 56-year-old JP Dhankad of Machhgar village. Dhankad was practicing in Sector-12 court for the last several years. Before the incident, he spoke to his family on the phone. The conversation on the phone has not been revealed yet.

The lawyer jumped from near chamber number 410, located on the fourth floor. He suffered serious neck injuries due to the fall. Blood was coming out of his nose and mouth. Fellow lawyers immediately admitted him to a nearby private hospital, where he died of injuries.

According to the fellow lawyers of the deceased, Dhankad was ill for a long time. There were some problems going on in his house too. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital for postmortem. The police is investigating the matter.
