Nuh: A huge fair will be organized on the occasion of Mahashivratri on 26 February at the thousands of years old Shiv temple of Mewat.

On this day, lakhs of people from different provinces of the country will offer water to their favorite deity, Mahadev, and also perform Puja Archana. The temple committee is busy in preparations for the program.

The historic Nalhareshwar Mahadev Shiv Temple located in the valleys of the Aravalli Mountains of Nuh has a history of 5200 years. Sweet water flows from the Kadam tree in the temple

There is a Kadam tree at a height of more than 500 feet from the Nalhareshwar Mahadev Shiva temple. Clean and sweet water keeps flowing from that Kadam tree for centuries. A coil is formed under the roots of this tree. In which, apart from extracting water from a motor or a hose, even if the water is taken out from a vessel, its quantity does not decrease.

Experts say that Lord Krishna had chosen this place to make peace between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. It is said that wherever Lord Krishna’s feet touched, a Kadam tree is often found there. To reach the place where water flows from the Kadam tree, about 287 stairs have been built by the temple committee. So that people can easily see the water flowing from the Kadam tree or can take it home in a vessel.
